What Westgate Foundation Does
For 25 years, Westgate Foundation—the philanthropic arm of Westgate Resorts—has been dedicated to strengthening the communities where our Team Members live and work by partnering with nonprofits who create stability for families in need, provide critical resources to military and veterans and develop workforce readiness programs around the country. Most importantly, Westgate Foundation supports our Team Members during times of unforeseen financial crisis.
Investing in Communities Across the Country
In 2026, the Foundation awarded $845,000 in grants to 64 nonprofit organizations throughout the United States. To celebrate our 25th anniversary, two outstanding organizations were selected to receive a Legendary Grant of $25,000 each, in recognition of their exceptional impact.
Over the last five years, Westgate Foundation has invested over $6 million to support Westgate’s resort communities and its Team Members.
Powered by Team Member Passion
Community impact at Westgate is driven by the people behind the company. Over the past year, Westgate Team Members volunteered more than 5,800 hours nationwide—supporting everything from food banks and youth programs to housing organizations and veteran services.
Our CareForce Acts of Kindness initiative taps into our Team Members’ competitive spirit by challenging resorts to make the biggest difference in their local communities. This year, four resorts earned the opportunity to present a nonprofit partner with a $10,000 grant.
Beyond volunteerism and grants, Westgate Resorts and Westgate Foundation regularly donate furniture, appliances, clothing, food, and other goods, plus resort stay certificates that nonprofits can use to fundraise their missions.
Supporting Our Own
Caring for Team Members is a central part of the Foundation’s mission. In 2026, the Foundation expect to contribute $405,000 to the Team Member Crisis Fund, providing critical financial assistance for those facing unexpected hardships. Additionally, we expect to distribute over 4,000 backpacks full of school supplies and over 5,100 holiday gifts to children of Westgate Team Members.
We also invest in the future of Westgate families. During our annual grantee celebration, we announced the David A. Siegel Legacy Scholarship, which awards up to $40,000 over four years to the dependent of a Westgate Team Member. This new program complements the long-standing Lenora Cressor-Allen Scholarship, which provides up to $5,000 annually to Team Members and their dependents pursuing higher education.

Upcoming Charitable Events
Supporting our communities and Team Members isn’t just something we talk about—it’s something we actively do all year long. Westgate Foundation hosts a variety of fun, meaningful events that help raise funds for the Team Member Crisis Fund and support local organizations.
One of the most popular traditions is the annual Duck Race, a lighthearted competition where quirky rubber ducks take over the lazy river, splash through a pool, or even brave a water slide. At the end of the race, one lucky duck is crowned the winner, and its owner takes home a duck‑tacular surprise. Guests and Team Members look forward to this event every summer, and it will be making a splash again at a Resort near you.
In 2026, Westgate Resorts and Westgate Foundation will celebrate the 15th year of Westgate Military Weekend, one of our most treasured annual events. Each year, we welcome 1,000 active-duty service members, veterans, and Gold Star Families to Westgate Vacation Villas & Town Center Resort for a complimentary weekend filled with gratitude, celebration, and connection.
Over the course of three days, families can take part in a wide range of activities- from a Military Resource Fair and 5K to a historic tank demonstration and live concert – plus much more! It’s our way of honoring the courage, sacrifice and service of military families while creating lasting memories that last long after the weekend ends.
